eBay doesn’t do much for the small store operator. The per item cost is fine and the selling fees are acceptable but the base price for the store is way too high based on my volume. So I pulled the plug on it. I have a spider program that keeps Google and Yahoo updated. The embedded search engine seems to be a bit iffy but is better than most I tried.

Well this week’s foray into eBay was a bust, two cheap items. Then within minutes of posting a new batch two items are on watch lists. Maybe this time will be better. The rest are on the eBay Store in case you have some money to burn.
My faithful KWM-2 decided after 40 years to start smoking. Well my wife smokes too but not resistors and the difference in smell is big. The snapping, flashing and popping as the resistor parted this word was most disconcerting to her. A good thing she can’t use a fire extinguisher or else that corner of the room would be buried in white. Some kind souls in Europe bought the remains and now I’m shopping.
I plan on getting a Yaesu FT-897 and a few accessories. In the process I need to empty my garage, so grab your wallet and head over to the web index and shop to your hearts content.
Thanks to the site Kijiji I managed to find a free 30′ Delhi tower, all I had to do was drop it. I was topped with a ten element (or so) Channel 11 (I think) and something else, channel 5 maybe. At any rate these are the core of a 2 meter and six meter signal catcher. I have another section to pick up, a neighbor used o sell them and has one piece left over, ah a fellow pack rat!
I’m hunting out the base stubs to put it self standing in concrete and finally my big roll of 7/8″ Heliax will get some use.
73 for now
Hmmm! didn’t think anyone was there. Anyway the blog is open for business after a few attempts at getting the host site up and running.
