I’m former RCAF, RCSigs and RCArtillery. My specialties are Airborne Communications and HF-SSB. I was employed by Collins Radio as Product Support, Bell Canada, North West Territories as HF-SSB specialist and CBC as station engineer at CFFB. There I operated as VE8YE in the mid 1970’s. I am now retired from the family Telephone Answering Service and Taxi Company in Brandon Manitoba.

My station was KWM-2 WE, 512B5 RE, PM-2 and 516F2. I had the station since 1966 when I was with Collins Toronto. Interestingly the seperate units went mostly to Italy. Antenna in Manitoba was a 20/40 meter dipole east-west. I have been inactive on HF for 30 years and am restarting certificate hunting. The replacement station is a Yaesu FT-897 and LDG coupler and a new Yaesu dual band HT. I will be QSLing 100% once cards are reprinted and I use LOTW.

I am a life member of the ARRL and have been a member since 1965 and life member of RAC.

I sold most of my test equipment including but still have a Bird watt meter, HP distortion analyzer and Fluke counter. If a local amateur needs some assistance just give me an e-mail.

September 2005 I fell off a three foot ladder and managed to crush 2 vertibrae. I can only caution everyone on safety, even at a little height like that.
